2-Stroke Field Service Engineer in Greece

For our location in Greece we are currently looking for a 2 Stroke Field  Service Engineer. You will assist our marine customers by attending the vessels and are expected to be the 2-stroke specialist hence a thorough product knowledge is needed to guide. Onboard the job you normally act as supervisor for a team of technicians supplied by either the vessel or MAN.

We can offer you the following tasks

  • Perform of repairs and execute of retrofits upgrades on existing installations
  • Trouble shooting and root cause analyze of mechanical and electronic failures of two-stroke engines
  • Assists Engineers in all related duties for 2-stroke diesel engines
  • To be up-do-date with and to implement internal technical modifications and information
  • Ability to handle various Projects at all levels of the organization
  • Create full English service report about executed works with final conclusion and recommendations

The job requires intensive travel activity via car, train, plane, launch boat, and in extreme cases via helicopter at short notice. The ability to be flexible, changing plans to comply with professional circumstances and exigencies are required, this job is more than a job, and it’s a lifestyle.

You can help us with these qualifications

To be successful in this job, we expect you to have an open mind towards receiving a large amount of information since we are assigning you to a Fast Track Training program as a Field Service Engineer.

Besides absorbing the technical information, then you would also need to transform this knowledge into information you can transfer for the local team, you are expected to train and share your knowledge within the teams.

We imagine that you have as a minimum a technical Bachelor education, preferably a Mechanical, Marine engineer or a Naval Architect or Electronic Engineer.

  • 3 years’ experience with MAN 2-stroke engines
  • ME experience
  • Technical knowledge of electronic and pneumatic systems
  • Daily vessel operation knowledge and familiarization
  • Ability to work structured with Attention to details
  • Problem solving abilities and analytical thinking
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Team-Player
  • Keen-on-learning approach

Technical Instructor in in Piraeus

  • Preparation and conduction of theoretical & practical training courses at PrimeServ Academy Piraeus and external training locations.
  • Development of the trainings including proper didactics, manuals’ explanation, questionnaires preparations and training-related material, based on customers’ needs. Furthermore, to be responsible for continuous improvement of material and teaching, further to customers’ satisfaction and feedback.
  • Support of Academy’s daily operation.
  • Preparation and maintenance of Academy’s hardware (electronic equipment, hand-tools, safety gear, manuals, classes, etc) before, during and after a training course.
  • Technical troubleshooting to customers’ questions.
  • Safety of trainings’ participants and security of Academy’s premises.

You can help us with these qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Marine Technology or relevant technical fields.
  • Previous experience in shipping industry (experience in Main Engines’ operation & maintenance and/or experience in marine engines performance and electronic systems).
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written.
  • MS office literacy and excellent IT skills.
  • Strong Communication Skills and excellent presentation skills.
  • Customer focused, results oriented, high self-motivated and self-organized.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a team.

Technical Order Engineer Greece

The job requires you to work independently while you have a strong sense of community and can work in teams.
