Visit our virtual MAN Museum

A visit to the museum despite the ongoing Corona pandemic? No problem for us! We invite you to a virtual tour of the MAN Museum in Augsburg.

In our MAN Museum in Augsburg you can find one of the oldest diesel engines, historic printing presses and lovingly maintained commercial vehicles. There is a lot to discover, but unfortunately not in times of Corona. Unfortunately, we had to keep our doors closed as cultural sites in Augsburg.

We used this forced break to work on a virtual museum tour and to offer a realistic representation of our exhibits. With our virtual tour, you can get a quick overview of the exhibits and of course stay as long as you like. You can move through the museum independently and watch videos, such as the video of the commissioning of the third oldest diesel engine in the world, the DM 10 from 1905.

While climbing the exhibits is not permitted in the on-site museum for safety reasons, the virtual MAN Museum offers exploration of a MAN commercial vehicle from the driver's seat, enriched with additional information from the historical archive such as maintenance instructions, videos and photos. Information on the exhibits is available as transcriptions in German and English, and visually impaired visitors can have the texts describing the exhibits read aloud to them.

Jana Lösch-Weber, director of the museum, is pleased with the digital offering: "In normal life, there are always events taking place on our premises that make temporary closure necessary. With our virtual offering, we can now always welcome visitors."
