It’s not exaggeration that the 32/40 changed the game when it comes to smooth, continuous operation. The 32/40 has a wide range of accepted fuels, covering all current and future emission targets set by institutions like IMO, quite a feat for a venerable engine.

With a power output that ranges from 3,000 to 9,000 kW, the 32/40 has a well-deserved reputation for being the ideal engine for small and medium sized applications. Even today, when newer engines have taken the spotlight, the 32/40 is loved by shipping operators around the world, especially for GenSet purposes. It is still produced under license in China and Korea, and like the engine, there’s no sign of demand for it stopping.
