Site Manager, Retrofit Projects

Production Support Supervisor

- To carry out inspections at the engine builders and their sub-contractors of the production of engines and components
- To supervise engine installation onboard and coordination of related parties
- To supervise the quality based on MAN-ES’ specifications, drawings, contractual agreements as well as classification societies rules in order to assure that the components/units/engines are in accordance with the stated requirements
- To follow up upon the progress of the actual production compared to the engine builders pre-forwarded production schedule and delivery dates
- To assist the engine builders by general advising and in case of production deviation, ensure suitable countermeasures to be taken in due time, if necessary by arranging for a quick liaison to MAN-ES’ head office for possible additional advice and for rectification proposals
- Contribute to efficient communication between the engineers from overseas and the Chinese Partners including acting as translator during meetings and lectures

You can help us with these qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Marine / Mechanical Engineering
- 5 or more years’ experience working in the Marine industry, such as shipyard, two stroke engine builders, and classification society. With experience from engine builder is preferable

Strategy
- Identify Market trends, market drivers and unique selling preposition for revamps/footprints in alignment with IGC/Hub FrontEnd Sales team to prioritize markets/customers/products
- Develop regional strategy for complex projects
- Monitor and follow-up on strategy implementation actions. Adjust as needed to secure sustainable complex project business.
- Systematic fleet analysis for standard ”revamps” such as I&C upgrades and barrel revamps etc.
- Plan and support marketing related activities (roadshow, TurboForum, PRACTICE visits) for complex projects as part of IGC marketing plan
Sales
- Lead Pre-Bid Phase (identify lead, develop value preposition, budgetary quote, Bid/no-bid decision). First Contact for complex projects queries in the region
- Provides value based target pricing and challenge cost estimates and performance to ensure positive customer business case (ROI)
- Authorized and responsible for Go/no-Go and Bid/no-Bid decision in alignment with PC
- Organizes and supports quotations on local IGC scope (if needed takes lead)
- Regional coordination between IGC, CoC and PC
- Funnel management
- Approval- and signature competence within the rules and regulations
- Technical Sales training and guidance of FrontEnd Sales teams in IGC/Hubs
Project Management
- Oversees the Project Management for complex projects
- Ensures proper project management set-up with clear DoR between IGC & PC is in place and matches contractual obligations
