The business unit PrimeServ Marine and Power is responsible for the entire aftersales business in Hong Kong from the bidding to the execution phase and later on the service and maintenance.

Within the PrimeServ segment for Marine the four stroke engine plays a vital role for this segment and it is used in many applications from power plants, to propulsion and as generators. It does so as it is a versatile component in size and power output.

In PrimeServ Hong Kong we are looking for Engineers and Superintedent Engineers that can service this area in particular. Below are more details on what we are looking for and what we can offer.

We can offer you the following tasks

• Provide technical service installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, overhauls and modernization for engines and turbochargers manufactured by the company and affiliated companies on seagoing vessels and power plants.
• Provide technical advice; provide training and service program information including follow-up to previously visited vessels as well as engine related support to our customers.
• Directs and supervises work performed by outside contractors in repair of the company’s engines.
• Assists workshops in technical matters as required, assists in the collection of receivables, establishes and maintains good business relations and communication with all customers.
• Innovates and develops products

You can help us with these qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from college or university, preferred marine or mechanical engineering. Or relevant education and training to meet the requirements.
• Four or more years related experience. Or equivalent combination of education/tranining and experience.
• Deep knowledge of 2-stroke, ME/ME-B Engines and Control Systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and electronic.
• Team player; able to maintain good relations with colleagues and customers.
• Experienced in working independently.
• Experienced and able to handle intensive travelling via car, train, plane, launch boat, and in extreme cases on helicopter on short notice.
• Understand and practice safe working methods.

• Willing to work under ISO standards and have a commitment to continuous improvement

• Be responsible for the daily commercial business of 3rd Party projects and Digital Solutions
• Ensure a clear overview of inquiries & orders, improve quality by identifying optimization potentials
• Expand collaboration and communication with customers regarding our Omnicare sales and Digital Solutions (ship owners and motor managers)
• Work closely and align with other internal functions to achieve the best customer satisfaction by delivering an excellent customer experience

• Expand collaboration and communication with customers regarding our Retrofit projects (ship owners, technical managers and shipyards)
• Work closely and align with other internal functions to achieve the best project execution and delivering an excellent customer experience
• Responsible for coordinating and assigning personnel needed for site activities in close cooperation with the Commercial Project Management in Copenhagen
• Collect customer/market feedback for future improvement opportunities

• Representing the contract on-site during conversion
• Responsible for correct execution of conversion within cost and timeline
• Participate in on-site meetings with owner, shipyard, class society, sub suppliers and etc.
• Frequent reporting of project progress to office
• Monitor conversion schedule and report progress to project manager
• Responsible for on-site resources and co-ordination hereof, inclusive keeping track of used resources
• In coordination with Site Superintendent evaluate list of outstanding project topics and report to back office / project management
• Handling of safety requirements of conversion

• Regularly checking engine test planning with engine builders; Drawing up and updating matching job schedule;
• Maintaining and repairing matching tools;
• Handling warranty & payment jobs; Submitting report to HQ promptly;
• Coordinating with customers for invoice issuing, and pushing money collection;
• Contributing to efficient technical communication between Chinese Partners and HQ on technical matters relevant turbocharger;
• Regular review report and document tidying in a structured and professional manner.
