  • The Project Manager, is an important part of a dynamic customer facing team, whose mission is to provide customers with state of the art turbomachinery solutions to reduce carbon emissions and minimize environmental impact mainly within the Oil & Gas segment and other Industrial sectors.
  • Your task is to lead the project team within a global matrix organization. To ensure all aspects of the project deliverables are met, or exceeded during the key phases of the projects such as: Hand over from Sales, Project kick off, Design, Procurement, Manufacture, Packaging, Testing and delivery of the hardware/equipment to the customer, until the end of the warranty period.

    Competence / Qualifications

  • Several years’ experience in Project Management of Capital goods/Major projects, preferably within the rotating equipment/process industry.
  • BSc/MSc or equivalent in Mechanical/Chemical/Process/Plant Engineering or similar.
  • Conversant with SAP, MS Project and other tools/systems as required.
  • Experience of workshop and/or site activities in the machinery/mechanical engineering industry or similar.

    Tasks

  • Launch and execute the project in accordance with the MAN OPUS Process (Project Management process, with defined project milestones/process steps.
  • Main customer contact person for all project related issues.
  • Manage the project successfully to deliver the contractual scope of supply, on time, within budget, meeting MAN quality standards, therefore to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • At least 12 years of experience in Marine service field at various levels (viz, Sr. Service engineer, Second engineer, Chief engineer etc.) with OEM or commercial vessels worldwide.
  • Knowledge or working with MAN B&W 4-stroke Pielstick, Augsburg engine, Holeby engine is necessary. Experience on 2 stroke MC engines with knowledge in Electrical is of advantage.
  • Preference to be given to Engineers who have experience in Operation & maintenance, trouble shooting of large diesel marine engines.
  • Overhauling and reconditioning of Engine components at MAN workshop using set process guidelines and MAN standard.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice for service attendance and project execution.
