We can offer you the following tasks

• Responsible to attend services corresponding to MAN engines either on board or in power generating plants. The services can be preventive or corrective maintenance.
• Responsible for supervising specific work, following the parameters of the MAN manufacturer. A report should also be generated notifying what was found, the results during the task and the recommended guidelines to follow.
• Supervise and direct teams of engineers and related maintenance technicians.
• Responsible for the re-commissioning of machines and final operating settings.
• Plan, monitor and follow up on the maintenance projects, their daily progress, the work completed, comparing the planned with the present.
• The Superintendent Engineer must keep a record and inform his senior team about recent lessons learned in order to avoid the recurrence of similar problems or to increase effectiveness and efficiency in the future.
• Compliance with OSH: it is essential to take into account and comply with all health and safety laws and guidelines related to his function and the safety of his colleagues, visitors and external partners. This is mandatory.
• It is the responsibility of the Superintendent Engineer, to adhere to the deadlines of the projects agreed with the Superintendents in charge of the plant and ship.
• Perform any other function that is reasonably required.
• Responsible to fill out information in all ERP systems related to his/her performance, time sheets and KPI to Service Manager and corporative reports.
• Availability to travel and navigate.

You can help us with these qualifications

• University Degree in Engineering or Technical Certifications in the Marine Industry or Power Generation.
• MAN Academy courses.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the Engineering area.
• 90% proficiency in the English language.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.

We can offer you the following tasks

• B2B Sales (networking, opportunity qualification, needs identification, response)
• Overseeing total proposal management (ensure prompt, accurate and compelling proposals)
• Interact/network with department management, global sales and tendering colleagues, and in-house technical/commercial/legal experts
• Proposal drafting using Word (adapting templates to specific projects)
• Proposal calculation using Excel models
• Proposal presentation to customer
• Adapting contract templates to specific opportunities (in compliance with company guidelines)
• Contract negotiation with customer (remote or face to face)Travel as required to present proposals / negotiate-close contracts
• Coordinate with local senior manager to identify opportunities to focus on
• Coordinate with tendering support in HQ to define scope, timeline and input costing
• Calculate proposal sales pricing in Excel model using cost inputs from tendering colleagues
• Investigate, identify and incorporate other costs/inputs which to be sourced outside company
• Review technical requirements in coordination with technical experts
• Develop/communicate proposal strategy to win project
• Write budgetary/firm proposal based on offer templates
• Present / explain proposal to customer
• Manage contract negotiations with customer
• Coordinate contract review/adjustment with input of in-house legal, technical, commercial experts and management
• Handover contract to execution team with presentation summary of essential terms and conditions
• Develop one’s own knowledge with respect to basic contract knowledge, pricing strategy, negotiation strategy etc., with support of in-house mentoring and on the job training.
• Work with integrity and trust in compliance with company guidelines
• Support other team members in day to day business

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the potential to develop a basic  all-around foundation in commercial, legal, and technical knowledge combined with a reliable and proactive attitude.  Skills and exposure to the following would be evaluated positively:

University/Technical degree with a focus on any of the following:

• Business/commerce, engineering

  Industry Experience

• industry experiences in power/marine industry may be beneficial or B2B sales

Additional Skills

• Competence in Excel (understanding of formulas/functions)
• Competence with Word (formatting, track changes)
• Strong competence in speaking, writing and reading both Spanish and English.
• Exposure to contracts / contractual terms
• Technical education (mechanical / electrical / marine)
