Job responsibilities

• Bid management for local projects. Budget generation and filing, , Bids handling, customer connect and Networking
• Manage customer document submittals for compliance with final agreed document list including control of submittal and return dates.  Review sub-supplier documents for compliance with the purchase order and agreed customer specifications.
• Create preliminary costing and price negotiations within the guidelines.
• Conducting of inquiries according to the procurement guidelines of MAN To prepare a comprehensive bid comparison as basis for procurement decision.
• Support on promoting and monitoring long term service agreements in the Region.
• Support in planning and execution of innovative campaigns tailored to customers.
• Be the primary MAN contact with the customer for project execution matters.  Provide regular progress reports to the customer and attend meetings with them as required to ensure successful project execution.
• Identify project schedule risks and develop contingency plans for them.
• Meet as required with the associated Account and Bid Manager to ensure that all project requirements are documented and understood at the handover of the project from sales to project management.
• Issue customer invoices per the project milestone schedule.  Expedite payment of all customer invoices and resolve any issues which may be holding up invoice payment.
• As necessary manage disputes with the customer concerning contract compliance.  Respond as appropriate to any claims for liquidated damages, penalties, or backcharges.  Escalate major claims to management.
• Provide technical support during equipment installation and commissioning.  If there is a contractual availability guarantee, work with the PrimeServ organization to make sure it is understood and a proper support plan is in place.

You can help us with these qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Engineering or Project Management
• Up to one year of professional experience
• Minimum of four months' international work experience
• Practical expertise acquired through internships or student trainee positions
• Proficient in English; fluency in German and other languages is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to manage non-academic commitments alongside professional responsibilities

What are you going to do?

Responsible for the overall IT Support for MAN ES UAE Offices.

As IT Technical Support Specialist your main tasks is:

• Focal point of contact in IT for MAN ES UAE offices, Employees - coordinates with MAN ES IT ServiceDesk and Telecommunication providers (Etisalat, Du)
• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications (existing and new joiners);
• to be fully responsible in all other IT related tasks, maintaining and keeping a track of all IT equipment, including mobile phones issued to employees
• Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
• Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment, servers (Dubai and Fujairah)

What are you going to do?

Supervise commissioning work on site within the schedule, safely manner and to the specified quality.

As Commissioning Engineer:

• Advise on commissioning requirements of projects on site
• Site management responsibility from mechanical completion of the MAN equipment until hand over to the client.
• Pre-commissioning and hot commissioning of turbo machinery and its auxiliaries
• Supports the customer in all questions related to commissioning of the MAN supplied equipment
• Controls and coordinates correct interaction between turbo machinery and customer process
• Instruction of customer personnel related to operation and maintenance
• Documentation and reporting on site work
• Solving problems if required with support of the MDT headquarters
• Responsible for implementation and upholding safety and quality control on site.
• Lead for startup and testing of new installations/erections or overhauled units of rotating equipment including mechanical part.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting of ‘in-service’ machinery
• Monitor field sequence activities based on agreed scope and schedule and report regularly to office.
• Handover to the customer of the machinery after job completion.
• Work with Field Service Pool Leader and other members of field service department to develop the capability of  the Field Service Department staff
• Identify main components of the equipment / system and explain the working principles of these parts
• Read and understand drawings, wiring diagrams and PID`s
• Perform service / overhaul commissioning tasks on turbomachinery and its auxiliary systems
• Must have commissioned at least four different auxiliary systems
• Understand the purpose and function of all field instrumentation

Pre-commissioning of installed, repaired or overhauled rotating

• Check out correct function of auxiliary systems (lube oil, dry gas seals …)
• Inspect process piping, valves and instrumentation
• Check of control logic, verify alarms and shutdowns together with I&C Commissioning Engineer
• Function testing of auxiliary equipment, such as lube oil pump, motors, actuator, etc.          

Hot Commissioning of installed, repaired or overhauled rotating equipment

• Start-up of compressor, verify mechanical running behavior
• Measure and record surge
• Adjust and optimize control functions
• Supervise test operation and optimize process integration
• Complete commissioning of installations, including completing of all relevant inspections and checks, liaison with the client and the MDT project managers, and handover of the installation to the customer at completion of commissioning.
• Function testing of auxiliary equipment, such as lube oil pump, motors, actuator, etc.
• Instruction of customer personnel related to operation and maintenance
• Documentation and reporting on site work
• Fault finding and troubleshooting of ‘in-service’ machinery
• Monitor field sequence activities based on agreed scope and schedule and report regularly to office.
• Work with Field Service Pool Leader and other members of field service department to develop the capability of the Field Service Department staff.

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of relevant commissioning of mechanical, instrumentation and pressurized systems
• Extensive experience in operation, maintenance and management of rotating equipment.
• Good understanding in rotating machines and  technical drawings.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff.

As Work Preperator your main tasks is:

• Create work descriptions for maintenance, repair and reconditioning for the global workshops
• Integrate knowledge of the IGC´s into the work descriptions
• Obtain approvals for work descriptions from the product center
• Production support (CPH)
• FTA and process validation together with the product center
• Planning and execute first time approvals
• Release workshops for maintenance/repair/recon (Internal FTA´s) activities
• Actual process status quo / Conduct of optimization workshops / 5S workshops

• University Graduate or Diploma with qualifications as a Marine or Mechanical Engineer
• Detailed understanding of the technical levels
• Experience not less than 7 years in marine field holding similar post.

As Engine Mechanic you:

• Technician is responsible for his own work tasks as required by seniors time to time in accordance with assigned responsibilities
• As per instructions, responsible to inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices as per instructions.
• Assemble, install, or repair mechanical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
• Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
• Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Assemble boilers at installation sites, using tools such as levels, plumb bobs, hammers, torches, or other hand tools. 
• Perform routine maintenance on boilers, installing replacement parts, or reinforcing structural weaknesses to ensure optimal boiler efficiency. 
• Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
• Receives reports about customer-reported concerns and ensures basic-level customer-oriented service
• Preparation / arrangement of tools and spares for coming maintenance
• Inspect regularly condition and availability of equipment and tools, needed for the dispatch of maintenance work

• A Superintendent Engineer is responsible for the team, his own work tasks as required in accordance with his assigned responsibilities.
• Supervises and leads a team of service engineers & technicians, skilled labour, and work crews in all activities concerned with field engineering works aspects.
• Ability to prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Competent in reading, understanding and interpreting specifications, drawings, and all other engineering related documentation.
• Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all Engineering Standards, QA/QC and Safety procedures, plus all Company rules and regulations.
• Develops excellent working relationships with all other department personnel as well as client management.
• Liaise with other staff to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational activities, with the overall objective of successful completion of the maintenance / service activities and projects.
• Planning, monitoring and tracking of projects with daily progress and work completed reports, comparing planned to actual. Takes appropriate mitigating action to ensure compliance with the plan, based on knowledge of available manpower, equipment, materials and in cooperation with planning engineer and project management.  
• Ensures that the staff understands and implements the engineering aspects of the work plan, by explaining and engaging in pro‐active communication with the crews.
• Identifies and implements “on‐the‐job” training programs with the aim of developing and improving team members’ competency in required skills and abilities.
• Being an expert, responsible for managing complex field service missions.
