As Mechanical Techncian you:

  • Technician is responsible for his own work tasks as required by seniors time to time in accordance with assigned responsibilities
  • As per instructions, responsible to inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices as per instructions.
  • Assemble, install, or repair mechanical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
  • Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
  • Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
  • Assemble boilers at installation sites, using tools such as levels, plumb bobs, hammers, torches, or other hand tools. 
  • Perform routine maintenance on boilers, installing replacement parts, or reinforcing structural weaknesses to ensure optimal boiler efficiency. 
  • Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
  • Receives reports about customer-reported concerns and ensures basic-level customer-oriented service
  • Preparation / arrangement of tools and spares for coming maintenance
  • Inspect regularly condition and availability of equipment and tools, needed for the dispatch of maintenance work

  • Coordinate with local senior manager to identify and qualify opportunities
  • Coordinate with tendering support in HQ to define scope, timeline and input costing
  • Calculate proposal sales pricing in in-house Excel model using cost inputs from tendering colleagues
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HQ, legal, technical, commercial) to ensure proposal accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate, identify and incorporate other costs/inputs sourced outside company
  • Review technical requirements in coordination with technical experts
  • Develop/communicate proposal strategy to win project
  • Write budgetary/firm proposal based on in-house offer templates

  • Qualify and develop a bidding strategy for promising leads in coordination with the relevant Front End Sales Manager and the Head of Tendering (SMGOT).
  • Analyze enquiry / project requests for proposals, understand / interpret customer requirements, develop and submit responsive proposal documents to potential customers in accordance with departmental guidelines, business unit targets and the instructions of the Head of Tendering (SMGOT).
  • Develop an accurate and comprehensive scope of work description in consultation with the customer to determine costing input requirements.
  • Work in coordination with International Group Companies (IGC) Support department, local contacts and other after sales colleagues to identify cost inputs for specific categories such as spare parts, local labor rates, etc., used in developing the project offer budget.
  • Keep the Head of Tendering in the  (SMGOT) informed about the development and progress of the projects under the Tendering Manager’s responsibility.
  • Register new enquiry information and maintain project status information within CRM system for periodic management reports

  • Strong competence in speaking, writing, and reading French and English.
  • University Degree with a focus on Business/Commerce, Engineering.
  • Industry experience in the power/marine industry or B2B sales.
