We can offer you the following tasks

  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions in the field or in the workshop
  • Be able to do the fitter jobs, marking, sawing, filing, drilling,  reaming, tapping the thread and do the normal machining work such as grinding, milling and turning
  • Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance on boilers, installing replacement parts, or reinforcing structural weaknesses to ensure optimal boiler efficiency
  • Assemble equipment at installation sites, using tools such as levels, plumb bobs, hammers, torches, or other hand tools
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using specific tools as required
  • Assemble, install, or repair mechanical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment
  • Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery
  • Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges
  • Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
  • Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments
  • Receives reports as first response about customer-reported concerns and ensures basic-level customer-oriented service to achieve the highest customer satisfaction
  • Preparation / arrangement / responsibility of tools, machinery and spares for coming maintenance

    Service Engineer

    MAN Energy Solutions is currently looking for an Service Engineer.

    We can offer you the following tasks

    • Implement standard maintenance and HSE policies and procedures according to MAN standards guideline by using various tools.
    • Perform commissioning, standard maintenance, repairs and services on all type of machines in accordance with the specified guidelines.
    • Perform overhauls of various MAN ES engines and  turbochargers.
    • Execute an LMRA (Last Minute Risk Analysis) on location before starting work.
    • Correctly use PPE (personal protective equipment) provided and all HSE relevant material.
    • Carry out assembly preparation for upcoming service assignments, e.g. identify spare parts requirements for maintenance of activities, special tools, checking commissioned spare parts for completeness, allocation and correctness.
    • Collect technical data, such as work procedures, drawings, spare parts, material, etc.
    • Determine assembly procedures on site in accordance with the specified work cards / documents. Thereby be technical contact person within the group for employees with lower qualification and coach service technicians to carry out planning, maintenances commissioning, performance tests, trouble shooting & root cause analysis. 
    • Provide assistance support as a specialist to MAN ES & third party customers within guidelines as stipulated by MAN standards & the local management in the coordination of the assembly process as well as assembly and disassembly of parts / assemblies according to work cards / checklists, if necessary overhaul components.
    • Support the findings on site, e.g. spare parts advice, condition pictures of parts also in a foreign language usually English.
    • Create reports and handle standard software such as Microsoft Office. Analyze maintenance data and make suggestions for improvement.
    • Report incidents, accidents and near-misses according to procedures.
    • Make sure that a time sheet is filled out and signed by the customer’s representative after a finished field service job.
    • Exchange information constantly and participate in further training if necessary.

    You can help us with these qualifications

    • 3+ years of related experience, preferably in the heavy equipment manufacturing / machines, marine industry or power plant
    • Experience in reading technical documents, instructions, sketches/explanation of details and cross sectional drawings
    • Fluency in English
    • Prepared to travel worldwide

      Senior Service Engineer

      We can offer you the following tasks

      • Develop technically optimized solutions. 
      • Perform extensive maintenance, repairs and services on all type of machines (e.g. replacement of vibration dampers, hydraulically pressed cams) in accordance with the specified work cards / documents.
      • Develop timelines and projects completion deadline with line manager; monitor lead time and quality.
      • Write performance requirements for engineering projects.

      • Read and interpret the blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports, and ensure that the tools, materials and parts needed are available.
      • Efficiently plan work processes with manpower requirements, determination of assembly procedures on site in accordance with the specified work cards/documents. Thereby be technical instructor, coordinator and advisor of assigned (external) personnel. Coach service technicians and engineers to carry out planning, maintenances commissioning, performance tests, etc. 
      • Provide assistance support as a specialist, explaining the technical facts to the customer / contact person for technical questions / representing the company to the customer.
      • Perform major overhauls of various MAN ES portfolio engines and / or turbochargers.
      • Support the customer in the coordination of the assembly process, as well as extensive assembly and disassembly of parts / assemblies according to work cards / checklists.
      • Technically coordinate the plants, systems and component findings, if necessary, advise customers on preventive maintenance. Support with commissioning work.
      • Process warranty cases, i.e. make and check customer claims, send parts and personnel if necessary, tracking in alignment with and following approval by HQ.
      • Report incidents, accidents and near-misses according to procedures; investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
      • Correctly use PPE (personal protective equipment) provided and all HSE relevant material.
      • Create reports and handle standard and special software. Analyze the maintenance data and make suggestions for improvement.
      • Implement enforcing and monitoring standard maintenance and HSE policies and procedures according to MAN standards guideline, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

        Superintendent Engineer

        We can offer you the following tasks

        • Review and approve invoices internally.
        • Prepare and adapt technical documentation (e.g. test lists, commissioning and service instructions as well as adapt testing software, select and compile testing aids), coordinate and implement technical solutions, prepare documentation and professional guidance of employees during complex installation, commissioning and service work of engines and / or turbochargers and their auxiliary systems (e.g. VTA, TCS-PTG, ETB ...) on internal and external engines and industrial plants at home and abroad.
        • Plan, monitor and track commissioning and service projects and daily progress and work completed in a technically perfect and economical manner. Coordinate dates for (commissioning and) service work with project manager, sales and customers and monitor compliance with these dates. Analyze faults and determine remedial measures. Suggest technical solutions to problems and coordinate them with customers and other trades. In the event of imminent delays or to ensure that technical requirements are met, work out solutions and negotiate with those involved (e.g. customers, other trades, sales, development department), even if there are conflicting interests. Recording and evaluating over- and underperformance, coordinating with customers and negotiating recognition. Acceptance of plants / systems, have deviations in delivery and performance corrected. Hand over plants, systems etc. to customers and documenting the handover. Advise and, if necessary, instruct customers in service and commissioning issues.
        • In the event of a warranty claim, clarify the causes, determine the extent of damage/repair and forward a warranty recommendation for decision to HQ. Plan and implement measures to ensure the availability of the system and the presence of service personnel in the event of a fault within the contractual periods / deadlines and to schedule spare parts.
        • Create plant and system documentation as well as the associated documents (e.g. checklists, engine performance curves, charge air comparison curves, error logs). Comply with all Engineering Standards, Quality Assurance / Quality Control and Safety procedures, plus all Company rules and regulations and ensure compliance with them.
        • Instruct and train employees - if necessary also internal/external employees - with less experience or qualifications. Deploy employees according to their qualifications. Monitor the execution of work. Check the results of work. Support employees in improving their work processes. Identify and implement “on‐the‐job” training programs with the aim of developing and improving team members’ competency in required skills and abilities. Develop, design and implement overall field service strategies with cross company implications for his / her field of activity.
        • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
        • Be an expert and responsible to manage complex field service missions according to all Global PrimeServ policies, processes & guidelines.
        • Liaise with other staff to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational activities, with the overall objective of successful completion of the maintenance / service activities and projects.
        • Be an extra resource at the PrimeServ office in supporting customers with technical support.
        • Provide input for the Service Manager with appraisal and assessment interviews.
        • Assist in gathering market information and maximize selling opportunities
        • Issue a service report and/or check the reports received from technicians and correcting any incorrect/missing points.
        • Keep the records of documents and relevant reports for all activities and works in accordance with ISO and MAN ES rules and directives requirements, and file these records as hard copies. 
        • Assist workshops in technical matters as required, establish and maintain good business relations and communication with all customers.
