Floating production storage and offloading
MAN Energy Solutions scope of supply comprises six centrifugal compressor trains:
- Three medium/high pressure Barrel-type centrifugal compressors, consisting of three intercooled two-stage centrifugal compressors driven by a fixed speed electric motor,
- two low pressure Barrel-type Centrifugal compressors, consisting of two single stage centrifugal compressors driven by a variable speed electric motor, and
- one fuel gas compressor, consisting of one single stage centrifugal compressor driven by a fixed speed electric motor.
The compressors are responsible for maintaining the pressure in the system
MAN Energy Solutions Mexico personnel will carry out the final onsite setup and commissioning of the vessel, which includes all tests, measurements and necessary adjustments required to ensure proper functioning of the compressors before the vessel is operational. This is also scheduled for 2021. Once in operation, the compressors will help maintain the pressure in the system to maximize the quantity and efficiency of gas production, specifically, fuel gas for the gas turbine onboard, gas injection back to the well to maintain well pressure and gas export to onshore station.
MAN has a world-leading experience providing equipment capable of operating reliably under conditions of pitching and rolling, and can provide online monitoring and diagnostics to the shore bases that monitor operations on FPSOs.
