Transportation for a fuel on the rise

Because of its abundance and climate-friendliness, natural gas extraction is booming and will continue to do so in the future. Being quite voluminous, transporting it in the absence of a pipeline infrastructure can be tricky. Converting it into liquefied natural gas is the answer. MAN Energy Solutions has the technology and the know-how you need.

From well to end user: The journey of natural gas

Liquefied Natural Gas or LNG is natural gas that is cooled down to -161 °C (-258 °F) to liquefy. The advantage of LNG is that its volume is 1/600th of its gaseous volume which makes it very attractive for transportation. MAN Energy Solutions supplies the compressors required for the various steps in the liquefaction process, such as refrigeration and for boil-off gas compressors.

We tailor-make our compressor and drive trains to suit your particular needs; we can operate on- and offshore. We have a proven track record of supporting our customers with constant innovation, immediate service and highly reliable equipment. We supply the components for your LNG plant, help you with planning and provide seamless service.
