Data solutions for the shipping industry
A fleet of marine engines generates an overwhelming amount of data. MAN Data+ enables you to find the value in this sea of data – helping you to manage your ships and cargo more efficiently, ensuring vessel availability, and reducing emissions and costs. Thanks to our deep domain knowledge of the engines, we can ensure your equipment data is available, scalable and, most importantly, actionable.
MAN Data+ offers a secure API gateway for clients to access an extensive repository of structured asset data. Seamlessly integrating with existing Business Intelligence (BI) tools, this platform enables sophisticated data analysis and optimization strategies.
Clients can analyze performance trends and monitor assets in real-time, gaining enhanced operational insights.
Based on MAN CEON, the cloud-based platform behind our digital portfolio, MAN Data+ securely and intelligently collects and integrates engine data in a consumable and comprehensive way. It is available for both newbuilds and as a retrofit on MAN two-stroke.
How MAN Data+ helps you
The enormous amount of data generated by your engines is available for you to utilize. Our role is to ensure you can track, access, and use it, no matter how many MAN engines you have or the scale of your operations. MAN Data+ merges data ontology with secure and reliable services to unlock unparalleled value. This data can also be easily integrated into your platforms and systems. Fully standardized data structures let you seamlessly transfer solutions from one asset to another. With PrimeServ Assist, we can help you use that data to meet the growing demands of availability, efficiency and decarbonization. In addition, that data analysis can help you identify new opportunities, and make better decisions.
Data aggregation
As a service of MAN CEON, MAN Data+ securely and intelligently collects and integrates engine data in a consumable and comprehensive way. Our deep knowledge of the engines and equipment gives us the context for the data, its purpose and value. We can also provide data analytics using PrimeServ Assist, or you can let your own specialists do the analysis.
Hands-on insights
Create your own visualizations, generate insights through the application of machine learning and process simulations. Your business processes and aims determine the use you make of the data.
High security and availability
MAN Data+ meets the maritime industry requirements for end-to-end security and guarantees the data availability for years. In the unlikely case of connectivity loss, data is stored on the device. Storage is available up to three months, depending on the number of your data items. Once the connection is restored, the buffered data will be uploaded.
System compatibility
Artificial intelligence, big data, and machine learning all hold a lot of promise for shipping but need to be properly networked with the existing vessels, machinery, and infrastructure of the shipping industry. That is where MAN Data+, with its in-depth integration with MAN machinery, offers you a direct advantage. Integrate your MAN engine data with other platforms and systems with APIs. We collect the data from the sensors on the MAN equipment and refine it with our algorithms it to make it useful. You can use it with your own IT systems.
The benefits of MAN Data+ in ship performance and fleet management
MAN Data+ enables secure data transmission by satellite communication providers, plus data collection, storage, easy integration with APIs, and a functional and scalable data structure. In turn, all this functionality allows you to optimize fleet performance and efficiency, lowers operational costs, reduces onboard labor, and raises the quality of the performance and monthly reports on the engine.
