Whereas conventional power plants normally waste exhaust heat, it can be used for district heating if fed into a network of insulated water pipes with a combined heat & power plant (CHP) or a large heat pump. As well as reducing fuel costs and emissions, CHP ensures added flexibility and security of supply. You can also power district heating with an MAN heat pump: this makes your energy more flexible and efficient, reduces CO2 emissions, and lowers costs. Both CHP and heat pumps can be used to integrate energy from renewable sources.

Our unique electro-thermal energy storage (MAN ETES) system is extremely flexible, deals with different load profiles and has a low impact on the environment.
MAN ETES is a trigeneration system which allows you to adapt to seasonal, daily and customer-behavior variations in heating and cooling energy demands.
