Power generation
Our hybrid power solutions are the answer to fluctuating power demands and the integration of renewable energy sources. Surplus energy is stored with our battery energy storage systems (BESS). Instant power top-ups can be supplied by engine and turbine gensets fueled by gas, biofuels or even synthetic fuels. Our highly efficient and dynamic power generators reduce CO2 emissions as far as possible.
To cut greenhouse gases, you will want to use a wide range of renewable energy sources. To counter their natural fluctuations, MAN Energy Solutions offer a modular and flexible portfolio of storage and backup facilities. Our energy management system (EMS) helps optimize demand and supply management, simultaneously reducing your costs and your CO2 footprint.
District heating
Whereas conventional power plants normally waste exhaust heat, it can be used for district heating if fed into a network of insulated water pipes with a combined heat & power plant (CHP) or a large heat pump. As well as reducing fuel costs and emissions, CHP ensures added flexibility and security of supply. You can also power district heating with an MAN heat pump: this makes your energy more flexible and efficient, reduces CO2 emissions, and lowers costs. Both CHP and heat pumps can be used to integrate energy from renewable sources.
Trigeneration
Renewable energies are the future. Demand response solutions that can compensate for fluctuating electricity yields from wind and sun are becoming more important. Our unique electro-thermal energy storage (MAN ETES) system is extremely flexible, deals with different load profiles and has a low impact on the environment.
MAN ETES is a trigeneration system which allows you to adapt to seasonal, daily and customer-behavior variations in heating and cooling energy demands. It absorbs large amounts of excess renewable energy and is one of the few systems capable of using, storing, and distributing heat, cold and electricity simultaneously. This pioneering solution, developed jointly with ABB, is entirely based on proven and reliable technology and physical processes.
