One of the most efficient open-cycle power plants in Australia. At the heart of power plant are three high-efficiency MAN dual-fuel generator sets. So the plant can be operated either on gaseous or liquid fuels.

MAN’s scope of supply comprised all engineering, procurement, structural, mechanical and electrical installation, transportation, project management and commissioning services.

Four MAN diesel engines ensure the security of supply for the country’s capital. As this is an EPC contract, MAN Energy Solutions had responsibility for designing the installation, manufacturing and procuring the necessary equipment and constructing the project.

Civil and structural scope for the project included the design and installation of the power house and switch room buildings, concrete foundations, roads within the complex and various tanks for storage of fuel, water and waste oil.

Two new state-of-the-art power generators engines (2x 9L27/38) are bringing reliable, safe, and affordable electricity to Nauru, the world’s smallest island nation improving the efficiency, safety, and capacity of electricity supply
